Cristin Mount

MD, MACP, FCCM, CEC

COL(ret) Cristin Mount is an academic Intensivist who practices in Tacoma, WA at Providence Swedish Saint Peter’s Hospital and in Bethesda, MD at Johns Hopkins Suburban Hospital. She is a graduate of the University of Scranton and earned her MD from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in 2003. She completed residency training in Internal Medicine at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, WA and Critical Care Medicine fellowship training at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C in 2009. In 2020, she completed a second fellowship in Emergency Ultrasound (POCUS) at Madigan Army Medical Center. Over a 24-year career in the Army, Cristin excelled in healthcare and academic leadership, serving as Core Clinical Faculty for Madigan’s Internal Medicine Residency and Transitional Year Internship Programs as well as Director, Critical Care Services, Chief, Pulmonary Critical Care Sleep Medicine Service, Chief, Department of Medicine, and Deputy Commander for Medical Services where she oversaw all non-surgical healthcare for the Puget Sound Military Healthcare System. She finished her Army career as the Consultant to the Army Surgeon General for Critical Care Medicine. Actively engaged in professional organizations, Cristin is a former Governor of the US Army Chapter of the American College of Physicians and current member of their Performance Measurement Committee. She is the former Military Section Chair of the Society of Critical Care Medicine, serves on their Ultrasound Course Committee, and is faculty for the Adult Ultrasound Course and Fundamentals of Critical Care Skills series. Passionate about mentoring, coaching, and teaching leadership and professional development, Cristin aims to foster engagement and innovation in a complex healthcare system. It is never too early to develop leaders.

George Mount

MD, MHPE, FACR, FACP

George is a rheumatologist and uveitis specialist who teaches and sees patients in Tacoma, WA. He is a graduate of Cornell University and Temple University School of Medicine. He completed residency training in internal medicine at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, WA, and fellowship training in rheumatology at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C. Additionally, he completed a uveitis and ocular inflammation fellowship at the Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland, OR. Dr. Mount is a graduate of the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USU) Master of Health Professions Education Program. Dr. Mount’s research interests include professional identity formation in medical education and faculty development. He is the former Deputy Director of Medical Education at Madigan and is currently the program director for the Leader & Faculty Development fellowship at Madigan. Dr. Mount is an Associate Professor of Medicine at USU. In 2024, he will retire from the Military after serving for 22 years, during which he deployed twice to Afghanistan. His passion for building effective teams is equaled only by developing faculty who understand the importance of optimizing the learning climate to allow learners to reach their full potential.

Jess Bunin

MD, MHPE, FACP, FCCM, CEC

COL(ret) Jessica Bunin is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point. Immediately following graduation, she attended Tulane University School of Medicine. She completed her internship and residency in Internal Medicine and Psychiatry at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. After completing her residency, she returned to West Point where she served as a Psychiatrist. After completing her billet at West Point, she returned to Walter Reed for a Critical Care Medicine Fellowship. After completing her Fellowship, she stayed on as Medical Director of the ICU, Chief of the Critical Care Medicine Service, and Associate Program Director of the Critical Care Medicine Fellowship. In July of 2014, she transitioned to Tripler Army Medical Center where served as the Chief of Critical Care and the Associate Program Director of the Internal Medicine Residency. In 2019, she transitioned to the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS) where she served as the Assistant Dean for Faculty Development delivering almost 100 workshops annually and to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center where she served as Program Director for the Critical Care Medicine Fellowship. In 2023, she retired from the Military after serving for 23 years during which she deployed to Iraq as a Psychiatrist and Afghanistan as an Intensivist. She is now a Professor of Medicine, Certified Executive Coach, and has recently completed the American Association of Medical College’s Healthcare Executive Diversity and Inclusion Certificate Program. She is passionate about developing future leaders. Her history of being a Psychiatrist, her extensive experience in mentoring and coaching, and her passion for teaching allow her to connect with healthcare workers, ask the right questions, meet them where they are, determine their needs, and advance them toward their goals. She is happy to work with individuals and would also love to advance healthcare programs and teams.

Lauren Weber

MD, FACC, CEC

Lauren is a 2003 graduate of the University of Florida and a 2007 graduate of the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. She completed her Internal Medicine residency, Chief Resident year, and Cardiovascular Fellowship Program at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. During her time at Walter Reed she served as the Associate Program Director for the Cardiovascular fellowship program, Director of Echocardiography and Director of Advanced Cardiac Imaging. She also concurrently served as the Deputy Chief of the Department of Medicine, responsible for over 800 personnel and the operations of 13 services. Lauren also served a tour as Flight Surgeon for the US Marine Corps. She holds certifications in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Medicine, Adult Echocardiography, Cardiac Computed Tomography, and Nuclear Cardiology. She is currently the Director of Imaging at Confluence Health and a board member of the Wenatchee Valley Medical Group in Wenatchee, WA. Lauren is passionate about how medical professionals can maximize influence and develop leadership, and has presented local and international workshops to help healthcare workers develop those skills.

Steve Lettrich

MBA, PMP, CMQ/OE

Steve has over 25 years of experience leading both with and without authority in the Army, as a business consultant and as a federal employee. As a medical administrator he was in charge of the Emergency Preparedness Plan and reservist mobilization.  As a medical plans and operations officer he commanded a company in Afghanistan.  He then taught leadership as an Assistant Professor at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, and served two more Afghanistan tours as a staff officer for a Special Forces Group. After leaving the Army, Steve ran overseas programs in support of the State Department and managed projects for the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Service.  He then moved to the FDA, where he managed executive-level projects and process improvements. He has earned the Project Management Professional certification from the Project Management Institute and the Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence from the American Society of Quality. Steve lives in Wenatchee, WA and provides pro bono project management for nonprofit organizations.  He enjoys hiking and skiing with his wife and their three sons.
